glass blowing anatomy of glass
Posted on June 29, 2012 | No CommentsMihai Topescu, by the movie directed by Bogdan-Cristian Dragan, offers access to the laboratory of a noble art of fire: glass. As observers, we follow a process, as live as possible, even incandenscent, which is the difference from "cold" Anatomy Lesson... painted by Rembrandt. Mihai Topescu is a complex artist, dedicated from his very beginnings as a glass artist, yet always adding, this material and its "vocabulary", other materials and techniques, thus installing harmonious and fertile dialogues of the modalities of expression. -
Glass Blowing – Behind the Scenes with John Pomp
Posted on June 26, 2012 | No CommentsJohn Pomp Studios: www.johnpomp.com Ron Risman www.cinematicstories.com Gregor Halenda www.gregorhalenda.com This film was created for a John Pomp Studios in Philadelphia. The focus of the film was to highlight John's process for creating blown glass lighting. Glass blowing is a beautiful art form and we wanted to compliment his work with a film that was just as organic. Instead of a music soundtrack we chose to create a rhythm with the sounds of tools, torches, and other objects used in the creation of blown glass. The film was produced by Gregor Halenda, Gregor Halenda Photography, and Ron Risman, Cinematic Stories and Cameratown.com. Gregor Halenda is a commercial photographer and videographer. Ron Risman is a photographer, Cinematographer, and Editor. -

Life in America: Glass Blowing
Posted on May 22, 2012 | No CommentsWHAT?! Mhm, glass blowing at it's finest. Went and made "tumbler" glasses today, which are just regular drinking glasses pretty much. Experience was freaken awesome and the glass was really cool to work with. I first covered my glass blob in white glass chips and then in green to create a nice translucent looking piece of kitchenware. Chris used black and yellow, and we're not sure how either turned out but we will on Tuesday, when we'll pick the cups up. I'll post the results in the video I make then! :D Anyway, Happy mothers day and enjoy the super chillax weather the earth is having right now (at least, by me). -
