Gathering more with less effort!
Gathering more with less effort is possible by pushing your iron deeper into the glass without it leaking over onto the untouched iron.
Lets say you begin your gather by sinking the iron and proceed to turn and move forwards. If you move too quickly forwards your iron will "Push Through" the gather and sink the iron further into the glass. If you move too slow you will not gather as much per overall Semi-Turn. The trick is a combination of pushing the iron deeper into the glass and moving forwards faster but never letting the glass topple back and over onto the untouched iron. Its kind of like getting underneath the gather. This will increase the surface area of the gather and thus gather up more and gather it up faster. This is how you get monster gathers that go over the Equilibrium of your iron and also is very useful when your glass levels are lower than usual.
Another classic way to gather up more than usual is to speed up the turning just before you exit the glass surface. This simply pulls up more of the tail than you would have usually.
